GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Instead of crossing things off the To Do list I seem to be forever adding to it! I'm starting to freak myself out at how much I need to do and I'm probably being overly pedantic but hey.. shocker huh. I've got this Friday off (thank you Glynis) so I'm hoping to cross a few things off the list. That and work out some last month logistics because that's going to be the tricky month. I'm hoping/planning to have my car sold and my house rented by then which means that I need to have everything packed up and stored and b) have something to drive around and get to work in. The first part is easy... well relatively as Mum said I can live with her but part b).... that's the tricky part. Whether to rent a car or buy a bomb or alternative x... I dunno. At least I have a teensy weensy while to work it out but of course now that I'm getting down to the pointy end of the year, time seems to be flying past and I'm hoping I'm going to be ready in time. I know I will but I've just got my To Do list running round my brain like a rampant child on red cordial. I think I'll feel a lot better once I can cross one more thing off the list... and not add one in it's place!

Targets for this (long) weekend: Ring real estate agents to get an idea of costs and  hopefully find a good one,  b) ebay listing weekend to make more holiday cash and c) keep sorting out the house and clearing out the junk!  Was looking at the bathroom tonight thinking it could probably do with a coat of paint to spruce it up.... why do I do this to myself??????

/me sighs and goes to laze on the couch and not think of the To Do list for a little while....

2 things off the To Do list...

Well this week has been a bit of a bonus - from my 27 item To Do list that seems to keep growing I've managed to cross off two things this week. 1) got new phone - bloody finally.... and 2) found THE bag with a 2a) managed to sweet talk bag vendor into giving me the travel towel at their suitcase discount...woot!

So the phone... OMG... I was looking for the Blackberry Curve to replace my most beloved Bold... And do you think I could find one in the whole of bloody Canberra?? NO. Why? because they've discontinued it without letting me know... yeah rude I know! So after running round town to most of the Optus shops and also being told at the Woden shop that they'd be getting new stocks in on Tuesday (LIAR!!) I finally succumbed to the idea that I should probably go for the Blackberry Torch. Now I've been a lil resistant to the touchscreen thing but because I had to get the hell away from 3 and their shite service (don't even get me started...) I read the reviews about the Blackberry Torch and thought why the bloody hell not, if its complete rubbish I'll just sell it on eBay. So I go to the tuggerdome thinking that woden is shite and I'm not going back there... and dammit no stocks AGAIN... The girly rings around for me and finds the last Torch in Civic. Zoomed my way over there and hey presto I'm the proud owner of a new Blackberry Torch. It FAR exceeds my expectations in a Crackberry (5MP camera WITH flash thank you very much) and I can unlock it so that I can get an OS sim when I need to. So lets just leave Sas doin the happy dance with her new Torch shall we... rawwrrr

Fast forward to today when Sas decides to check out Bags To Go on the off chance that they might have the bag she's looking for. She's already checked on eBay and has seen sorta that bag she wants... but of course our Sas has a very specific bag in mind. So she heads off to BTG in her lunchtime and not only finds the exact bag that she wants but it's in smexy red, its the last one AND it's $20 off! So as she heads to the checkout to take her prize home she notices the impulse item basket at the checkout has teal (TEAL!!) travel towels that are normally priced at $29 but are $10 if you buy a suitcase. So our heroine bravely asks the woman whether her bag is considered a suitcase? The woman consults her colleague who says that they're for suitcases and while Sas' bag is strictly not a suitcase (more of a sportsbag with wheels) Sas argues the point "define a suitcase? Its a bag with a zip, usually has wheels and you put clothes in it right?" She then proceeds to beg hands clasped and batts her eyelashes to plead her case and wins over her audience :) So not only did I get my smexy red bag but I got a super TEAL travel towel (anti mould and anti bacterial and all that) and allow me to mention that its a bloody huge travel towel not one of those lil handtowel ones... happy days :)

Now back to the other 25 things I need to cross off the damned list in the next 18 weeks....

ACK!!! 18/19 weeks to go????

At dinner tonight we had the realisation that it's only 17 weeks til Seb's wedding which means that there's only 18/19 weeks til I leave!! CRAAAAP!!! So much to do and so little time... Really gotta get my ass into gear now. In more ways that one ;} And I guess creating my travel blog isn't exactly a productive persuit in that regard but pffft shaddap.

Welcome to the blog :)
