Had a 'stop over day' in Denver because back in Hays I managed to pull a muscle in my neck so it's been uncomfortable to drive (and even as I type this 5 or so days later it's still hurting). So after a good nights sleep I headed to the Denver Zoo for a walk around in the sunshine. Apparently the Denver Zoo is the 4th most visited zoo in America. And of course there are a crapload of photos in this post so bear with me :)
awwwwww sleepy |
this cat almost looks stuffed, but it's alive I assure you |
this is the clearest pic of the leopard that I could get because it was pacing and I could not get a good shot of it |
ALL of my giraffe pics are of their butts. I would have a great shot lined up and then when my camera was ready they'd turn their backs on me... so here's a great shot of a giraffe's butt. |
a small bit of Oz - a shingleback lizard! |
this guy was watching my every move, when I moved to the left, he'd move with me... glad there was glass between us! |
Dory and Nemo!! |
More Dory and Nemo - I was so impressed with this exhibit. Really neat :) |
I think this Komodo Dragon wanted me for lunch.... He had that look in his eye.... |
And this guy just looked like a mini dinosaur of some sort |
awwww cuuuuuute :) |
This bear cracked me up, it was just sitting there in it's little hole, all comfy |
these sculptures were at the entrance of the zoo, pretty neat! |
