Bonaventure Cemetery

Yesterday I went to Bonaventure Cemetery which is a historic cemetery in Savannah and apparently Clint Eastwood made a movie here. I'm not sure what it's about but it has increased the tourist numbers to the cemetery and in particular one grave of Gracie Watson, known as Little Gracie. I'll have to google what its all about but haven't done that yet. I did take a photo and she's quite cute. It was a really nice visit, very peaceful and extremely beautiful with all the spanish moss in the trees and I spent almost 3 hours walking around looking at all the graves. It's a huuuge cemetery and is still an operational cemetery and in fact there had been two funerals that morning in the Jewish section. I actually got sunburnt too ;} typical. One thing I realised while I was walking around the cemetery is that I don't have any family that is buried. Well none that I know of. All my family that has passed have been cremated and scattered. I never realised that til yesterday as I was walking around the graves thinking about the people that tend and visit the graves.

I loved this lil guy tucked away under the bushes, watching over his family plot. Very touching.

There he is near the bushes on the right
